Laura Chacón, director of product training for Herbalife Nutrition , shares three tips that we should incorporate into our routine to prevent the skin from looking dull or tired and making it shine throughout the season:

1. Rest well at night

Sleep is the closest that exists to the fountain of youth. The body works in such a unique way that it is repaired and recovered while we rest. The secret is to get enough rest ( six to nine hours of good quality sleep) every night to look amazing in the morning. Your skin will look fantastic, fresh and ready for the holiday season, and best of all, it won’t cost you any extra economic investment.

2. Hydrate your skin

We’ve all heard about the importance of drinking water to keep our body healthy. Hydration is also essential for our skin, especially during the holiday season, when at least some of us tend to enjoy alcoholic beverages. So don’t forget to drink water during the day and during the Christmas holidays.

It is a good idea to combine each alcoholic beverage with a glass of water. Not only will this help you avoid a hangover, it will also help keep your skin hydrated and smooth. In the morning, your skin and head will thank you, and you will be ready for the next party of the week.

“The holiday season and the holidays are great to get together with friends and family to remember the year, but they can also be stressful for our body and skin. Do not forget that, to be ready for these events, you have to prepare internally and externally. Take the time to follow these simple and cheap tips, as they guarantee you can enjoy a wonderful holiday season! ” emphasized Laura Chacón, Director of Product Training for Herbalife Nutrition Worldwide.

3. Take off your makeup before going to bed

The worst thing you can do to your skin is to sleep with your makeup on. Not only will you end up soiling your sheets and pillows, but your skin won’t be able to breathe either. The surface of the skin is a living, porous organ that needs oxygen to stay healthy.

If the makeup clogs the pores, the sebum that the skin naturally produces to remove dirt can get trapped and cause rashes. That is the last thing we need during the holiday season. To avoid this problem, wash your face before going to bed. Avoid strong soaps and choose dermatologically tested and sulfate-free mild cleansers.

If your skin tends to be drier, choose products with ingredients such as aloe or coconut oil, which help keep your skin soft and hydrated. If your skin is oily, look for ingredients such as orange or citrus oil, which leave the skin fresh and revitalized.
